Informed Choices has been helping families grow physically, emotionally, and spiritually since 1987. Our Center and Medical staff are part of hundreds of life-saving decisions each year through the provision of free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, and pregnancy options education. To serve a growing number of women and men, our ministry is seeking to hire caring individuals for the following positions. Center Director – Crystal Lake

Center Director needed to ensure pregnancy options education and compassionate care are provided to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.

Informed Choices Pregnancy & Parenting in Crystal Lake is currently seeking a full-time (35 hour) Center Director. This is a salaried, ministry leadership position.

Successful candidate will be a committed Christian with awareness of the Biblical perspective on life and a firm stance against abortion. Education and/or experience in a social service related profession preferred. Other experience should include management and training, especially of volunteers as well excellent interpersonal skills, public speaking, discernment, and problem-solving ability.

Medical Advocate – Grayslake & Crystal Lake

Medical Advocate (RDMS or RN) needed to provide ultrasounds and education for abortion vulnerable women.

Informed Choices Pregnancy and Parenting is seeking a part-time (9-16 hrs per week) Medical Advocate to serve on our Pregnancy Center team in Grayslake and Crystal Lake. After completing a medical intake and urine pregnancy test, the Medical Advocate will provide a limited obstetrical ultrasound to our pregnant clients, giving them an opportunity to see their baby and often the heartbeat.

As a faith-based ministry, Informed Choices is seeking a candidate who supports our mission and agrees with our statement of faith. This position requires excellent critical decision-making skills under the supervision of a Nurse Manager and Medical Director.

Qualifications:

  • Credentialed OB/GYN Sonographer with current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)

OR…

  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) with current licensure
  • CPR Certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA compliance
  • Good eye-hand coordination to be trained for performing first trimester, limited obstetrical ultrasounds while adhering to compliance standards.

Healthy Choices Presenter

Positive Youth Development Program Speaker

Is God putting a desire in your heart to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth?

Informed Choices is looking for a presenter to join our Healthy Choices team. This growing, vibrant, positive youth development program is offered in the health classrooms to middle school students. Candidate must be comfortable speaking upfront in a classroom setting and skilled in relating to adolescents. Experience working with youth is required. Candidates must provide references for relative experience working with youth. Training is provided and a stipend is paid per presentation.

This is a Part-time position with 6-18 hours per week depending upon candidate’s availability. Presentations are done during school hours (7:30am-3:30pm), Monday thru Friday from late August until the end of May. Current schools are in northern Kane, McHenry and Lake counties. New Life Resale is taking applications for Managers to work at our Grayslake and Wauconda locations. This is a full-time position, 4-5 days per week, including 2 Saturdays per month.
